ShortDot - upcoming pricing and premium name changes

.bond

  • The wholesale price of .bond will decrease, and as of November 26, 2021.
  • .bond will be getting a premium name program with tiered pricing and a HIGH-HIGH pricing model. Premium .bond pricing will be reflected via the EPP system as of April 25, 2022
  • A few notes:
    • All .bond names registered as of October 1, 2021, are grandfathered into the previous pricing scheme. Their renewal fees will not change from the current price and as long as a particular name does not expire, it will retain that object-specific pricing. This will be reflected via EPP both at its current registrar and a gaining registrar in the case of a transfer.

.cyou

  • The wholesale price of .cyou will increase, and as of April 25, 2022.
  • The redemption fee for .cyou domains nearing the expiry process' end will be streamlined with the other ShortDot TLDs.

.cfd

  • The wholesale price of .cfd will decrease, and as of November 26, 2021.
  • .cfd's premium name program will be changing slightly. We are introducing new tiers and pricing levels and are keeping with the current HIGH-HIGH renewal model. Premium .cfd changes will be reflected via the EPP system as of April 25, 2022
  • A few notes:
    • All .cfd names registered as of October 1, 2021, are grandfathered into the previous pricing scheme. Their renewal fees will not change from their current level, premium, or standard renewal fee, and as long as a particular name does not expire, it will retain that object-specific pricing. This will be reflected via EPP both at its current registrar and a gaining registrar in the case of a transfer.

.sbs

  • .sbs premium name program will be changing slightly. We are introducing new tiers and pricing levels and are keeping with the current HIGH-HIGH renewal model. Premium .sbs changes will be reflected via the EPP system as of April 25, 2022

General Notes

  • Any four-letter combinations that are not in the new premium lists for .cfd, .bond, and .sbs are automatically going to be in the lowest tier of their respective premium pricing table. I.e. most words are already placed in a higher tier; however, a random combination of four letters such as 'eptf' will show up in the lowest tier of the premium table for these three extensions.
  • These changes will be reflected via the EPP system as of 1400 UTC on the date noted for each change.
