Transitioning to ICANN's Registration Data Policy (RDP For Registrars)
Registration Data Policy - Registry Operator Decision Log
During the Implementation Preparation Period will you accept domain name registrations with the same contact information that is currently accepted or with only the prescribed contact details, or no contact data?
Yes in phase 1 you can continue to provide the same contact data as currently or not provide any contact data - either way will work (for minimum data set).
During the Data Prohibited Period will the association of specific data fields and contact objects with domain names be set to "disallowed"? Will Registrars who continue to send contact data outside of the prescribed data set see their domain creations fail?
Yes, associating contact objects with domains names will be disallowed in phase 2 for TLDs operating minimum data set. Domain creations will fail with the message “Contacts are prohibited for this suffix”.
During the final phase is it possible to create a contact after excluding the Contact Object? is it possible to change a contact?
Contact creation will still work as it currently does during the final phase but you won’t be able to associate a contact with a domain on the minimum data set.
Will there be separate servers for Minimum Data Set TLDS and Maximum Data Set TLDS?
No, there will not be separate servers for TLDs operating Minimum or Maximum data set.
Can we have a sample EPP create domain command using the Minimum Data Set requirements? That sample EPP will provide us with some beneficial information.
Can you please confirm if the EPP host name will change or will it remain the same. Currently, the below set of Radix/CentralNIC TLD’s all connect to the common CentralNIC EPP host. We are wondering with the Minimum Data Set in place, if the EPP host will change.
EPP host will remain the same.
Besides Create and Update are any other commands affected?
Only the relationship domain-contact changes so only commands dealing with this relationship such as create and update will be affected. Commands that don't deal with this relationship such as Delete, Renew etc. will not be affected
domain create command we don’t need to send registration period and name servers also? Do we need to send those after the request you sent below (or) can we add those 2 details at domain create request like below?
Yes you can send the registration period and name servers in the domain create command like you have in the frame.
